When package design projects kick-off, I look for unconventional or innovative ways, exploring new perspectives, and embracing novel approaches to generate unique and unexpected solutions. Ideation originates from sketching which is a fluid and spontaneous process that helps me explore a wide range of possibilities without the constraints of digital tools. Sketching is the first and most overlooked step in the design process. Innovation begins in the mind before our fingers hit the keys. I find it’s better to aim for the “WHAT IFS” and not settle for the status quo.
